In the spark of 2017, during the turn of a new year in the bitter cold season, we started our first ever tween photo project; ‘Who I am.’

Rarely making studio appearances and winter sessions, this tween project was a surprisingly huge hit – and it’s no wonder why…

Do you remember what it was like in middle school?

The time in your life when you are morphing from a helpless child to an independent teenage.

The time when your body is going through some unexpected changes and hormone levels are at their most brutal.

The time where making friends and needing a strong support system are essential to not only surviving, but thriving.

The time where this change can either make, shake, or break your confidence.

Now imagine having your tween child participate in an exclusive photography project where it’s not only about them, but the ones they care about and love the most join together to create an unforgettable self-confidence boosting experience.

Where actions, words, and our most loving thoughts come into play to remind your tween just how amazing they are by highlighting their strengths and the things that makes them completely unique.

Can you imagine the impact this could have on your kid?!

In 2017 I met some pretty amazing tween girls from the Cincinnati area and I will let you in one one thing: I never would have imagined how big of an impact this project would have on me.

Seeing these kids light up when they were presented with not only incredible images on themselves that they LOVED, but reading selfless and thoughtful words from the ones they hold most dear was an experience I truly wasn’t ready for – and an experience that I cannot ever walk away from.

As a photographer, and a mother, I am on a mission to continue to create this experience for young tweens in our area to help build a positive self-image and zone in on their strengths through The Who I am project.

This year I am opening up limited spots in Cincinnati, Dayton, and Lebanon (right in between the two) in the month of February to keep this project alive.

Why “Who I am”?

I am continuing the “Who I am” photography project to fill in the forgotten photo years while enriching the lives of pre-teens. The main goal is to make these tweens look and feel beautiful and be confident in who they are.

I aim to capture the the personality of these tweens and record the last stage of their childhood before they become young ladies. I want them to realize their true beauty so that they are confident in themselves before they hit Junior High.

Imagine the impact a single beautiful image can do for your tween’s self-image.

Who I’m looking for

I am looking for girl models for this photography project (boys are welcome too – they just tend to be less interested in getting their photos taken), ages 10-12. I will ask the model and their parents a few questions, then combine the text and photographs to create one impactful piece of art.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE OR NOMINATE A TWEEN:

Please nominate people you think would enjoy the boutique experience I provide. The in-studio session itself is complimentary and includes a $50 product credit (a total $200 value).

My goal is to create a gorgeous group of photos you’ll love and that truly show your daughter’s (or son’s) spirit and soul!  Many people like to use these photos as birthday, Mother’s Day, and “just because” gifts for their daughter/son. My portrait collections start at $600, but there is no additional purchase requirement.

Please e-mail me by Friday, January 26th if you are interested in having your child participate in this project, or if you would like to nominate a friend or family member of yours that you think would be perfect for this. Please review the session times below for available times.

I will capture your child’s personality – whether they are silly, shy or a little bit of both. I also want to capture what they LOVE. If they love to swim, you can bring their goggles and swimsuit, if they love basketball, bring a basketball and uniform. If they music, have them bring their favored instrument and they can serenade me with their talents. The options are endless!
