4 years ago, I started a Cincinnati tween photo session project.
I wanted to not only highlight this time in a child’s life (the tender age between 10-12), but I wanted to showcase their strengths and remind them of who they are and how they fit into the world.
As someone who has always struggled with self-confidence, I understand the importance of positive talk and affirmations from others.
What better way than to combine beautiful photos WITH positive words into one final piece to share with these growing kids?
The ‘This is Me’ project was born.
With the help of parents, siblings, relatives, teaches, mentors, and coaches, I am on a mission to continue to enhance the self-image of tweens in the Cincinnati & Dayton area with this project.
We all have our superpowers. And now – more than ever – kids NEED TO KNOW what theirs is & how they stand out in the world. Photos (especially when printed) have been proven to boost self-esteem in children. And when you combine photos with words of praise and positivity, can you imagine how much more impactful that truly can be?!
These are more than just a collection of images. This is visible proof for our tweens to understand just how meaningful they are – and how they can help change the world.
